What's everybody asking for this holiday season? I would love a whipped cream canister (because I am obsessed with fresh whipped cream and always like to have some in the fridge weather it's for my coffee, dessert, or just to eat with a spoon🥄). I also wouldn't say no to any skin care product (product junkie over here), warm sweater (because I am always freezing ️) or chocolate in any form.....-em .....#holidaycheer#christmas#besttimeoftheyear#holidayseason#christmastree#newblogpost#sle#pots#mcad#eds#lupus#lupuswarrior#lupie#lupuschick#potsie#posturalorthostatictachycardiasyndrome#potssyndrome#spoonielife#spoonie#spoonies#invisibleillness#chronicillness#chronicfatigue#chronicpain#sandiego#ehlersdanlossyndrome#chronicallyawesome#medicalzebra#love#awareness
There is nothing quite like straight up SLAYING an interview!! K-State was incredible. I met some incredibly kind people, who only added fuel to my passion for veterinary medicine. I won’t know what they decide until February, but I know that I gave it my all and stayed true to myself throughout the entire interview. I told them how I really felt about certain controversial topics rather than telling them what I thought they wanted to hear. I recently realized that it doesn’t really matter if anyone else likes me, what matters is that I like me, and I’m starting to realize that fuck yeah I’m an awesome person!! (and it feels good to say it!!!) Self-confidence has always been something I have struggled with. I grew up being called a “#butterface ” and that really messed with my head. It’s really refreshing to FINALLY start seeing myself as the beautiful, strong, independent, smart, and open-hearted woman that I am.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~By the grace of God everything fell into place perfectly this weekend. I truly mean by the grace of God. I have really lost my sense of spirituality and religion for the last several years, and for the first time in I don’t know how long it felt like God was on my side, standing over my shoulder saying “You can do this. You can get through this. Everything will be alright.” It’s been a long time since I have felt his presence, but MAN does it feel good to hear Him again. But, I won’t shove religion down y’all’s throat too much… lol This weekend really was just a miracle. I mean everything happened just the way it was supposed to. From my flight getting delayed Friday night so my dad and I arrived in Manhattan at exactly the same time, to touring K State’s vet school early yesterday and talking to an amazing ambassador all about joining the Army Veterinary Corps (who wasn’t going to be there today when I was supposed to tour), to meeting one of my interviewers in the elevator 30 minutes before my interview. Everything happened just as it was meant to. Now more than ever I truly believe that #everythinghappensforareason
Life update: I’ve been doing bike workouts for an hour a day! Just trying to workout and read all day. Since working out lowers hair rate over time!! I’m so focused and happy. I’ve been feeling unmotivated and depressed so I asked the universe/high power to help me out n it blessed me with a give away and an amazing doctor appointment with all the answers. I am 100% sure I will feel normal again! ALSO I WON A GIVEAWAY ON MY REGULAR ACCOUNT WOAHHHH iPad, iPhone and 2 cameras ️ #pots#potssyndrome#potsie#eds#spoonie
Fun fact time: the reason why l wear tank tops year round is because my shoulders quickly get overheated when covered. I've had this issue for a loooong time, well before I became truly ill. #potshas just made it that much more obnoxious. I'm constantly taking my sweaters off and on as I'm either flushed or chilled (or both, fun times). Thankfully these backless shirts solve my "freezing arms, flushed shoulders" problem.#spoonie#spoonieproblems#pots#chronicallyill#chronicillness#potsie#potsiegirl#ehlersdanlosgrrrls#eds#ehlersdanlos#ehlersdanlossyndrome#posturalorthostatictachycardiasyndrome
For the record, I have absolutely no Idea how she learned this, and she only does it with me and only with fake sneezes.
