List eamonwinkle's Instagram During my time at UCLA, I had the opportunity to learn under artist Mario Ybarra Jr. a tremendous person and one of the best teachers I'd ever had. His humor and guidance would help push me into the direction I wanted to take my art, even after graduating. During class he gave out this "road map", a guideline of how to build a portfolio and a timeline of goals to set and meet. I've had this near my work space as a constant reminder of my goals and where I want to be, as well as reminding myself that it's going to take time. And that's okay.
Great teachers make a huge difference.

Not only am I humbled by everyone who has given their lives in service, but also humbled through the workout and just how hard people in the military train. Today is a day to honor and remember all of those who have given their lives in service of our country. Today I workouts with a police officer friend of mine who invited me to join him to do the "Murph" workout challenge. Named after Lt. Michael Murphy who created this workout and who tragically gave his life while serving in the Navy Seals. The workout consists of a 1 mile run, then 100 pull-ups, then 200 push-ups, then 300 air squats, and finish with a 1 mile run. The workout should be done with a 20 lb best but I modified to doing it all with just bodyweight.
