Self reflection time---I’ve always been honest here. I think that’s why I’ve had a lot of success with my journey. It’s amazingly freeing to be able to be yourself and still receive an outpouring of love and support. ---To those of you struggling with an eating disorder I want to tell you this. You’re not alone. It is something that I struggle with frequently. The binge followed directly by guilt. It’s a flooding feeling. The loss of all willpower replaced with the overwhelming feeling of shame. ---My journey has been no where close to perfect but I’ve definitely learned things along the way. I’ve learned how to forgive myself. If you don’t learn how to do this, you’ll be constantly blaming and punishing yourself for your mistakes. Ate too much? Forgive yourself. Skipped the gym? Forgive yourself. Try your best to live in the moment. When you start to live in the moment, you’re not obsessing about what you ate last, how hard you need to go in the gym to undo your mistakes, what you’ll be eating next and so on. ---Self love... I can write a whole separate post about this topic alone. But what I want to say is I’ve learned how to be accepting of who I am, how to be kind to myself and how to love myself even in my most vulnerable state. But with that being said, I still have my bad days. The journey isn’t about who can get the to the finish line first. The journey is about growth, the ups and downs, supporting others and being supported by others, and personal development/self reflection. All I know I’m going to keep fighting and I’ll never give up on myself.

I have a secret. The last time I did a pull-up was 10 years ago..During my trip to #greece , I attempted to pull myself up and get my head above a public pull-up bar at #adamantasBeach. I couldn’t do it..Even with a guy holding my legs, I was useless. I watched as he not only pumped out some pull-ups with ease, but even added claps in between!.I may be lean, healthy, and have an appetite that often lands me with looks or snarky remarks; but I’m not strong. Time to change this!.I’m going to be hitting the gym at @revitalize_kenyain Thigiri to work towards my goal: one pull-up (and increasing my strength). In the meantime, don’t forget to stay hydrated. I take my @coutureearthltdkepersonalized @corkcicleto the office with hot tea, and cold water to the gym. Love the stainless steel straw!.How many pull-ups can you do?
Keep your elbows as fixed and close to the body whilst curling to keep maximal tension on the biceps, as soon as your elbows start to come forward the front delt starts to assist the movement
