Standard Olympic Distance Tri Race
1.5K Swim (turned 2K)
I was aiming so much to cross that finish line that I tried hard to dig deeper than the training program I disregarded, the nutrition plan I failed to comply to, the extra/unnecessary 500 meters I swam, my almost-bike crash heading straight to the cliff and to both my quads cramping up the entire run leg. There's always something to learn to. I can't wait to put my head back in the game and beat this record.
Almighty Father, you are so good. Special shout out and thanks to the cheers and push from friends and teammates - Energizer Tri Team (Araceli, Ella, France, Gerry, Jon, Marl, Oel, Richard, Xerxes), TBR friends (Jas, Rhea, Adoremus, Johnson, Dane, Neil, Sheri, Pow, James, Gene, Aimee, Cecile, Nylah, Francis), Tristar Team (Lance, Hygeia, Cy), Coaches (Gian, Don, CoachNorman and Saturnino) and of course to Bhe Alfred, Sis Rose, Benjo, La and Mamits Chang.
Praying for Mj and Salve, recover well from your bike mishap. Des, keep your head up. You maybe the last athlete out of the water but that's nothing compared to all you've accomplished so far. Silver lining, you've beaten the swim course record for the longest swim time. Oh ha record holder! What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. Resbakan natin to.
Congratulations to all the TU1 finishers and participants. Till our next race. Salute! 🍻 🏁 🏊🏽♀️🚴🏽♀️🏃🏽♀️ #superAnj
