️️ 50 rep set finisher tonight to round off the chest workout. Throughout my feed, you’ll find that I have more clips of me training in the 1-6 rep range. This rep range is what I consider to be the perfect range for both strength and hypertrophy - especially if you treat them as the exclusive working sets in a workout (disregarding anything else leading up to them). On compound lifts, nothing will light up your CNS like a 2-6 rep max especially on deep squats and deadlifts - however I am a huge believer in high rep sets as I always say, whether it’s as a finisher or right in the middle of your workout. How to train leading up to Thanksgiving 🤷‍️🦃•LIKE ANY OTHER DAY.Sorry to pop your tits, but it is not necessary to train any differently in preparation for/to undo the damage of all the extra calories you may be eating. No need to do excessive cardio, or perform only high-rep fast-paced workouts (unless that’s what you normally do). I personally like to get a good lift in earlier in the day, and then a nice heavy leg day after Thanksgiving to put all the extra calories to work (🥧️). Our bodies are pretty cool in that they’re adaptive and can usually handle higher calories from time to time, as long as you hit your calorie/macro goals consistently every other day.•Who likes to get a solid lift in before Thanksgiving lunch/dinner/Dessert/grazing/passing out? ‍️ 11.21.17
