Or 7:30 am... but you know, whose counting? is such a priority for me this year and itโ€™s helping me to put in an insane amount of volume (for me at least). โ€ข โ€ข Iโ€™ve been using @whoop for the past month to track both my strain as well as my sleep.. it uses heart rate variability, resting heart rate, activity, and a sleep tracker to give you a โ€œrecovery scoreโ€, which I find is surprisingly accurate to how I actually feel, physically and mentally. If I feel sore and tired and run down and like total shit, Iโ€™m in the low 20s and red and I adjust my training accordingly (hello active recovery and light weighted walks).. on the other end of the spectrum, when I feel good or even just OK, we rock and roll. โ€ข โ€ข I havenโ€™t drank a sip of alcohol this year and ive been able to average 8+ hours of sleep every night because I can look at data and tell HOW MUCH IT MATTERS. Remember, even OVER training, recovery, and mindset, nutrition is ๐Ÿคด๐Ÿป and sleep is ๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿป... instead of forcing myself to wake up at 4:45 am for a 5:30 workout, even if I got to bed late the night before, this year Iโ€™m skipping the workout and adjusting things to do it later in the day ... Iโ€™m still putting my time in, trust me, Iโ€™m just doing it on my schedule in a manner that is sustainable long term and helps to promote recovery and positive physiological adaptions. So on , thereโ€™s my mental for you. Hope this helps. Canโ€™t wait to race in March in San Jose CA!!

That's exactly what happened too. Smashed Day 2 of the and decreased the time to 20:20 With an accelerated tempo and decreased rest period. Finished off my workout with day 7 from @sarahpozdol new book , this one was brutal. 400 bear crawls in there, really Sarah? Damn that was painful. I pushed through and owned that workout in 29 min to complete my morning and start the day feeling awesome. There is no better feeling than starting each and every day already accomplishing so much before so many have even woke up. #spartanup
