Like snakes, geckos do not have eyelids and therefore cannot lubricate the eye by blinking like we do, instead they reach their tongues outside the mouth and lick the eye periodically. Here's a Northern Knob-tailed Gecko (Nephrurus sheai) doing his best eye lick for the camera.

Feeding time for the house snakes- these small constrictors kill their prey by squeezing and are very effective for vermin control. They are non-venomous and are no danger to humans 🐁🐁

No messing around for this little gecko.
