FEELING BLOATED? The second question is what causes bloating? Bloating is typically caused by gas produced in the colon or the small intestine that doesn't move smoothly through the body. Overeating, as we all know, is probably the most common cause as we all enjoy those great meals out and some times over indulge ; ) Eating rich and fatty foods or eating too fast adds to the risk of bloating after a meal also. What you might not know bloating can also be caused by swallowed air or gas produced by bacteria that help digest food which can build up in the intestines. So how do we aviod feeling bloated? Everyone is different but some of the options could be: 👉🏻Keep a regular and healthy diet 👉🏻Avoid artificial sweeteners and carbonated drinks 👉🏻Dairy products if you have trouble digesting lactose 👉🏻Stress less! It’s my last week of winter holiday season in Austria before I’m heading back to endless summer in Bali … That means: DETOXING! With so many tasty winter treats around - like sugared pancakes, hot chocolate, chips, cookies, butter and pie, oh my! 😅 it’s hard not to overindulge. So it’s high time for a Yoga Cleanse! In terms of helping my food being moved better along ... Yoga twists are great … for creating movement in and around my organs. When you twist you cut off blood to your abdominal organs and then re-introduce fresh blood when you release your twist. That helps to cleanse the cells of any built up waste, because with increased circulation comes increased cellular detoxification. Easy. 🤷🏻‍♀️ So how I start detoxing after winter to get ready for summer? I start twisting. 🔄 #digestion
