List thefeelgoodgal's Instagram Day 2 of #SelfLoveWeek with @iammelwells  Today's prompt is: "I'm Proud of Myself For..." 

There are quite a few things I'm proud of myself for in this moment as I've worked extremely hard to get my mind and body to the place they're at today, but one thing I am damn proud of myself for is my CONSISTENCY with my workout routine. When I first made the decision to prioritize fitness, I started out with 20 min of fasted cardio on the treadmill every other morning. At that point, I couldn't run for 20 min straight so I forced myself to just be ON the treadmill for a full 20 min, even if that meant walking at speed 4. I did fasted cardio with the hope of burning as much fat as possible. A few months later I signed up for @campgladiator, a bootcamp-style fitness program that made me feel more confident and strong than I had felt in a LONG time. As time went on, I craved more strength and honestly I craved the iron, so I did what was one of the scariest things for me at the time: I signed up for a hardcore lifting class that, according to their Instagram, was filled to the brim with testosterone.  But mama wanted to LIFT and LIFT HEAVY so I done did it! I was scared shitless my first day and had to have my boyfriend drive me and drop me off for moral support...but maaaaan was that one of the BEST decisions I've ever made. Hardcore gym people are great. They are some of the most motivated people you'll meet in an average day, and my personal energy has changed significantly since training around people who are in it to win it. When I started, I had 2 goals  1️⃣ to be able to do 5 consecutive pull ups, and 2️⃣ to not be afraid of male-filled weight rooms at conventional gyms. Proud to say that I've achieved both (I can do *over* 5 consecutive pull ups now hehehe ) and not once ounce of my soul feels intimidated in a weight room anymore. I feel like freaking Wonder Woman.  And another beautiful achievement? I no longer workout with the goal of burning as much fat as possible; I workout to be an effing strong & muscular af badass. Here are TWO Core focused workouts to add to your next Ab workout!  The look on my face says it all... these will leave you feeling the burn my lovelies  No pain, no gain #fitfam !! Sometimes the most simple exercises are the most effective.  Don't get me wrong, I love challenging myself & trying new / not so ordinary exercises. HOWEVER, I ALSO LOVE going back to the basics. These help with the contact of the muscles being targeted & strength / growth. ✔️ .
Complete both as timed exercises. 1️⃣ Plank Knee Drops || 45s on 15s rest then 2️⃣ Plank || 45s on 15s rest. Complete as a superset for 3-4 rounds. ‍♀️

I use the word "wellness" over personal training, nutrition, etc. as it's much more encompassing and true for describing the process individuals go through for sustainable weight loss, toning, performance goals, rehabilitation/ recovery, etc. 
Attaining these goals is also truly a mind, body and spiritual process (if the word spiritual makes you uncomfortable, as it did for me at one point, then think of the word INSPIRE instead). What inspires you? Why do you want to achieve this goal? If you don't have a strong reason for WHY you want to do something or inspiration for what you want to achieve, it makes your goal(s) less attainable. Once you have established a "WHY?" to drive you, the question of, "HOW will you reach your goals?" becomes simple. I want to assist you with that process by asking questions that you've probably never been asked before. 
I've been on this health, fitness and wellness journey for many years now. From weight loss, competing, studying yoga/ meditation/ ayurvedic medicine, racing in marathons and triathlons, competing in numerous sports throughout my life, bouncing back from trauma, completing my BScN (RN- Registered Nursing) degree, PT Certification, Reiki Course, Life Coaching Certifications and more. 
Although, to be honest I feel that anyone can have certifications but not everyone can demonstrate passion, results, current & evidenced-based knowledge and success with personal and client growth. This is something I strive to emulate in my own life and the people I am coaching. 
I'm currently travelling the world and wanting to fill my personal training void by taking a handful of clients that I can put a great deal of time, knowledge and energy into. My main mission is to help others in the same way that so many people/ coaches have helped me achieve this level of growth and positive energy.
