Girl power. Today was a wonderful example of supporting one another in uncertain times. With almost 130,000 of us present, I've never been a part of an event of such social magnitude. To see the passion on the faces of so many, to see the creativity and frustration let out through signs, chants, and other methods of expression, was representative of the changes as of late; from embers to flames. We're always had issues, but they're exacerbated tremendously in times of unknown. Between the rawness and turnout of the March today, it was nothing short of inspiring.
After running around all day taking hundreds of photos, with a press pass that admittedly helped the effort, there was one thing made very clear to me. This isn't about any one group of people; it's about everyone, together. We face times of uncertainty that most of us have never experienced. It's unsettling. It's scary to not know what's next, and I can only imagine it's magnified for those already slighted. But it's time for us all to move past that; past 'before', past fear and uncertainty, and past fractured. It's times like these, opportunities, that we can prove to ourselves and each other, that we're all in this thing together.
