A couple of things I've learnt from studying the word 'Loyal' in the Bible is that 1. It's mentioned mostly with heart...'Loyal heart' ,and 2. that God responds to those who follow Him with a loyal heart, to top it all, He even extends their days, so those of you who want their days extended, start by having a loyal heart to God.
Since this works with God, perhaps being LOYAL is another solution to mending your broken relationships, in your homes, at work, with friends, the faith we profess .. Perhaps they would also have extended lives... I also found that it is possible to do things that are right and not have your heart loyal to the Lord. In which case we follow and obey all the moral codes and laws and do the right thing but without a loyal heart we open up ourselves for the unknown... We set ourselves up for eventual disaster because we become proud, self confident, feel invisible; after all, we are doing things the right way and getting results, so we end up not listening to the Lords instructions when they don't seem to be what we want to hear. An interesting example is the story of Amaziah King of Judah 2 Chronicles 25:2 - (NKJV) ..the narrative starts with He did what was right in the sight of the Lord, but not with a loyal heart...verse 27 goes on to say After the time that Amaziah turned away from following the Lord...they made a conspiracy against him etc ... (read to see his end). Other versions say he did what was pleasing to the Lord with reluctance (GNB) ... Don't be reluctant be Loyal! Give it all you've got, whatever it is may your best shot! I'm to keep it till I see the results...cos I know I will come up Tops!
