Winter readings: if the first volume of this #mangabrought an interesting story, this second volume kind of spoiled it all. The ending is so predictable that makes you wonder until the last page that some plot twist is coming. I am curious to read the #novel to see if this was a failure present in the original, or if it was the manga adaptation that failed. Anyway, #alollipoporabulletbrings a lot of themes and metaphors that #sakurabakazukihas worked in #gosick. The rabbits related to children victims of murder, the children victim of father's abuse, the storm coming, the #hikikomoricharacter, the mysterious girl, the denial of supernatural by logical explanations, etc.
Though the end is predictable, the dramatic aspect of the drawing is moving, there are specially two scenes that I liked a lot. First is when Mokuzu's father say she "became bubbles in the ocean" and the other is when Nagisa receive an unexpected help to hike the mountain.
I do feel is kind of weird how the story is told, cause instead of surprising the reader, the author actually anticipates every single revelation, killing the suspense. Now that I think about it, I wonder if it wasn't exactly the intention, to create a anticlimactic horror novel.
