List fiigital's Instagram Good morning! Since this is the last week this series will run (daily), I will be rushing over several things just to touch on some other foundational aspects of content marketing as promised. So, today, I will be highlighting some of the common content marketing goals.⠀

Remember somewhere in the beginning, I mentioned the fact that there has to be a goal when engaging in content marketing. While the ultimate is sales and more sales, you don’t just hit at sales; some other things could build to it. So here are some things you might be targeting with different piece of content you create.⠀

1.	Brand awareness: If you are just starting out in business, it is often important to talk about how you will be known before worrying about sales. So here you put out valuable content that when people see them and like them, they want to know who put that out.⠀
⠀
2.	Traffic: Let’s say you’ve built that your beautiful house (like we talked last week), and put things you are sure will trap a potential customer. But you just wish they’d visit your site. Here your goal is to drive them to your site so you can begin to work on them.⠀
⠀
3.	Lead generation: Here, you are not just concerned with people visiting your site, you want potential customers; you are particular about those really interested in what you have to offer. When this is your goal, you want people to do something to have access to the contents you prepare to drive this goal, like fill in their contacts, enter email address, etc.⠀

4.	Lead conversion: Here, you want to get those potential customers you’ve nurtured to make a payment, purchase a product; you just want to generate revenue from them.⠀
⠀
5.	Loyalty: While you want more new customers for your business, your existing customers are still valuable. You can create content specifically channelled to existing customers, that is aimed at nurturing the relationship and ensuring they keep coming back. The primary channel for this is usually email marketing.⠀

It is always important to have your goal in mind, because the goal will go a long way in determining the what, how, and where of the content creation and publishing.⠀
