#tbtme and my old man on Father's Day at Soular Sundays.
Baba made it back safely to the Ivory Coast y'all. But I'm quite teary right now; we bonded a LOT during his 4 months here, esp after losing my job. He met so many of my great, new friends & rapped it up with old friends (even though he's bad with names lol). Sometimes coming home, I used think "Damn, he is always here! Does he ever go out, sheesh!" Well, now he's gone. Since his departure, my house is terribly quiet. I don't smell his breakfast when I wake up and when coming home late, the house is dark & lifeless. I surely appreciate my solitude but I've been having trouble sleeping these past two days. For many years after my mother's ascension, our relationship was quite rocky & tumultuous. But during his visit, I realized how human he really is. And judging by the folks I surround myself with, he did a damn good job raising me, by himself. I learned a new part of him and he, me. PROPS TO REAL MEN RAISING PRINCESSES INTO QUEENS, ALONE!!! I love and miss you Baba. I WILL be coming to visit you in Abidjan, I put that on everything!❤Thank you for your sacrifice & unconditional Love!
